Year 6 Students - Interview an expert for their Exhibition Inquiry

Charlotte Room 1 —

After deciding on our topic, 'How to protect fish in New Zealand', my group researched and took action by interviewing an expert to find out how this issue affects the environment and the people, particularly in our local area - the Hauraki Gulf.

Mark Kitteridge is a professional Fisherman, former editor of NZ Fishing magazine and famous author. Our group wrote interview questions and met with Mark to discuss the issue of declining fish environments in our oceans. Mark gave us first hand accounts of how this issue affects us now and will in the future.

My group and I love fishing and with this new information, we now know how we can better protect New Zealand's special ocean and we look forward to sharing this with you at our Year 6 Exhibition.
My group, Daniel, Kory and I would like to thank Mr Kitteridge for his time and expertise and I hope that we can continue his Kaitiakitanga in our Moana.
