In Literacy we have been learning that all letters have names and sounds. This week we learned the short sounds for the 5 vowels. They are /a/ as in apple, /e/ as in egg, /i/ itchy, /o/octopus, /u/ as in up. We made vowel books to help us remember the short vowel sounds.
