Last Thursday, 65 of our students went to Takapuna Rugby Club for the last of 3 Rippa & Tackle tournaments. These tournaments are great for building friendships, sportsmanship, and developing skills that are transferable to many other sports.

This year, there was a move away from 'keeping score' and more about growing the game, although we have 2 teams that were undefeated all season. 
Thank you to the parents who coached and managed, also to the supporters on the event days. 

Thank you also to Jason Gitmans, even though many of us were frightened by the large weta that appeared on the big blue tarpaulin as it flapped about in the wind above us while we were sheltering under it from the rain, you moved it to a safer place far away from us- phew!

Keep an eye out in Term 1 next year for 2020 Rippa & Tackle registrations and if you enjoyed it a lot, perhaps consider joining a local club that offers Rippa and Tackle over the Autumn/Winter months such as Glenfield, Takapuna or East Coast Bays.
