This week was Youth Peace Week 2020 and the theme was “Celebrating Diversity. Milford School students all got involved by taking part in a number of activities that were aimed at raising awareness of the need to celebrate diversity and inclusion. Some of the activities across the week included optional Art workshops at lunchtime, a School wide Peace poster competition, and a Peace Poetry slam.

The student mediators, represented by Linda Xi ( Room 6) also took positive action and demonstrated student voice by writing a persuasive letter to Mrs Cattell about the importance of celebrating diversity by holding a student Rainbow Mufti day on Friday. Mrs Cattell was very moved by their argument and as a result we all celebrated diversity in mufti as a school today.

It’s been a great week and we look forward to celebrating Peace Week in 2021.
