KAHUI AKO MUSIC GALA CONCERT

Eugenie Middleton —

On Tuesday night the Milford School Orchestra performed in front of a very large audience at WBHS as part of the COL music concert. They were outstanding in attitude, performance etiquette and playing. I was so so so proud to be their music teacher!! Thank you to all the parents who came and supported their children. What a wonderful opportunity for the children to see what opportunities they have in the future.

On Tuesday, I went to Westlake Boys' High School because our orchestra was going to perform on the stage. Firstly, we had a rehearsal. It was so amazing to hear the whole orchestra play on the stage for the first time! We had to play four songs. My favourite song was a canon because it has a sweet sound of melody. After the rehearsal it was time to perform in front of our parents. I felt nervous and excited at the same time! I wish the next performance will come sooner.

On Tuesday we went to an evening concert at Westlake Boys' High School to perform on stage. There were a lot of schools. There were also a lot of parents watching us perform. I liked being on stage and performing. It is fun.
