From Club to Community
Jillian Sommers and Ellen von Collas - August 30, 2020
The Forrest Hill Community Garden is located in the Seine Reserve, on the corner of Seine and Tiber Roads, Forrest Hill. The seedling stand is on the opposite side of the road at Number 13 Seine Road. This little project brings a lot of kindness and joy to the folks who pass by, sharing seedlings, flowers, seeds, worm 'tea', herbs and vegetables for free to our community.
Check out their Facebook page to see some more fabulous photos, posts and a video about this heartwarming community project.
Of course, you are welcome to donate some of your own excess produce to share with others. If you want to grow plants or seedlings for the stand or the gardens which will be up and running soon, it would be welcomed. Phoebe and Dave would love help with killing the grass off to start the garden, or items to help with this, like carpet or newspapers. If you think you can help then please contact Phoebe on 021 990783.
