Principal’s Message

Sue Cattell —

Kia ora koutou katoa. I hope you all enjoyed the Easter weekend and were able to spend time with family and friends. I know I did! The Scholastic Book Fair was delivered yesterday and is now set up in Room 4 and open for business. Please come in before or after school from today through to Wednesday. It will also be open right through the Parent/Teacher meeting afternoon on Wednesday (from 12.30 – 7.00pm). The profits from any books you buy come straight to the school and are used by our Librarian to purchase new books for the Library. Over the past few years this book fair has been really successful and last year we earned $2800 for our Library. Please do come and buy those holiday books for your children to read!

A reminder that next Wednesday we are holding our Parent/Teacher/Student meetings. School finishes at 12.30pm that day so please make arrangements for your child from that time. If you haven’t yet booked in a time with your child’s teacher, please do this before Tuesday by going to the school app. If you need any help with this, please contact Sam in the school office.

The staff were treated to a delicious morning tea today, kindly provided by Skids. A huge thank you to Carla and her team. The cinnamon buns were delicious!

The after-school coding class that Jack Julian (ex-pupil) runs will continue next term for students in Years 4-6. This is held in Room 3 on Thursdays from 3.15 – 4.15pm. If you would like to enrol your child in this, please complete the form and return to the school office with payment.

Our final whole school assembly for the term will be held at 2.15pm next Friday, Friday 16 April and will be led by the Year 4 team. All parents and whanau are most welcome to attend.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
