The Hive Celebrate 100 Days at School

Paula Snowball —

Wednesday 11th August was our 100th day at school this year. The Year 2 team celebrated being 100 days smarter by having a day where most things were linked to one hundred. The Hive had fitness related to 100 where we jumped to 100, did 100 star jumps and estimated where 100 steps would take us.

We then used our imaginations to to come up with wish lists.  I wish I had 100...

I wish I had 100 dollars so I could buy flowers for my grandma. If I bought flowers for my grandma she would be happy. Olivia
I wish I had 100 dollars so I can feed my family. If I had 100 dollars I would share it with my family. Amber
I wish I 100 dogs because I love dogs. I would need 100 leashes! Daisy
I wish I had 100 uncles so I can play with them. James
I wish I had 100 dreams that come true so I can make everyone's dreams come true. If I did that I would make everyone happy. Zhe
I wish I had 100 soccer balls so I can share to my friends. If I did my friends would be happy. Marco

We then had a yummy cake that Mrs Sommers made and we decorated it with 100 M&Ms.

We read books related to the 100th day at school, did Maths around 100, and lastly, we sorted 100 objects we had brought from home or found in the classroom. We found out that 10 groups of 10 is 100.

We had fun learning about one hundred!!
