Congratulations Alayna! Alayna made the Regional Gymnastics Team to represent North Harbour, made up of the top 4 girls from North Harbour based on their competition scores during the year, to compete in the New Zealand Gymnastic Championships, which was held at the Trust Arena in Waitakere. This was her first ever National Competition.

Alayna competed in Step 5 with 74 of the top girls from across NZ, from the Far North to the South Island. She competed amazingly and won a Gold Medal for her floor routine. Alayna trains 16 hours a week (which is standard for her level of gymnastics at Harbour) all year round. She is missing a level and moving up to Step 7 this term and is already looking forward to learning new skills and training towards making the team again for next year's competition.
