Principal’s Message

by Sue Cattell

This week saw our two big choir events happening. The APPA Choir were amazing at the Town Hall on Tuesday night, with our very own Eugenie Middleton playing an oboe solo along with them. Last night, the Kids for Kids Choir performed at the Bruce Mason Theatre which was such a fun evening which our students (and audience) really enjoyed. A huge thank you to Eugenie Middleton (APPA) and Linda Vane (Kids for Kids) for your time and commitment to these events.

APPA Choir Performance

by Eugenie Middleton

A huge congratulations to the amazing APPA Choir for their performance in the Town Hall on Tuesday night. Their professional behaviour and musicianship was notably outstanding. Thank you so much to the parents who helped the children get to and from the performance and also to Sarah Doreen and Jo Macken for their parent help. Sarah even provided beautiful ribbons for the girls to wear in their hair. I am the proudest music teacher in Auckland!

Year 3 Marae Visit

by Nirelle Armstrng

On Tuesday, Year 3 enjoyed a trip to Te Tahawai Marae. During our visit, children were welcomed onto the marae in a traditional powhiri. Once inside the marae, children joined in on waiata, maori games and art. This was a great trip to reinforce the learning children have been doing in class with Matua Maru over the past term.
