Principal’s Message

by Sue Cattell

Last Friday saw our amazing Kapa Haka group perform at the Onepoto Festival. While there were some challenges with the event running late, our students had their time on the big stage and made us all very proud. They are certainly a loud and strong group. A huge thank you to Mrs Louise Lavulo who leads this group so well.

Year 6 - Bigfoot Cycle Safety

by Sophie Magaraggia

This week the Year 6 classes were fortunate to participate in cycle safety run by BigFoot. Each class had two one and a half hour sessions which involved learning how to fit a helmet properly, a bike safety check to do before riding, learning the correct signals for turning, practising breaking, and maneuvering in and out of cones. They were fun sessions in which students got to play games on their bikes too! We are happy that our students will be heading off to intermediate next year with cycle safety skills under their belt.
