Milford School sent 4 teams to the North Shore Primary Regional Competition on Tuesday.

On Thursday Milford School entered a Year 3/4 team and a year 5/6 team into the Bayswater Park Football Festival along with 20 other North Shore schools.

In Room 13 we celebrated our 100th day at school by counting to 100, making 100 day glasses, and making ten sets of ten with the 100 items we brought to school. We worked out that we had more than 1000 things on our collection table altogether, and that was a really big number! We had the best day ever and now we are counting towards 200 days at school - we are half way there!

On Monday, Room 8 celebrated 100 days at school by bringing in 100 of anything. Items brought in ranged from leaves, shells, sticks, dominoes, stickers, Lego, coins, rice, popcorn and jellybeans. The jellybeans were eaten at the end of our sorting activity. Thank you George! A fun day for all.

Congratulations to all the winners in this years Milford’s Got Talent. You all performed so well and we were all entertained by your talent. Thank you all for being part of this competition.

International Youth Peace Week runs from August 5th - 9th 2019. The 2019 theme is Peace & Technology. With this theme, the drive is to encourage everyone to think about how technology can have a positive influence on a peaceful world – and to also spread awareness about the possible challenges, such as cyber bullying.

We have had a great start to Term 3 in the Library.

In an ever-changing and fast-paced, technology-addicted world, it can be difficult to guesstimate what skills our children need in order to prepare them for an uncertain future.

Catalogues were sent home at the end of last week, BUT if you didn’t get one don’t despair please check with your classroom teacher or the office to get your copy.
