This year, we've introduced an exciting new token system to encourage our tamariki to work together and strengthen their communication skills both in school and in the wider community.
Each week this term, children will be awarded tokens for demonstrating our school values in various aspects of school life. For example, we show ū mātāpono (principled) when we look after our classroom resources. These tokens are carefully counted, and the winning whānau group is celebrated at our weekly assembly.
This week, we're thrilled to announce that Whānau Kānuka were the winners for demonstrating ū mātāpono in the classroom. Congratulations! Your responsible and respectful behaviour is a wonderful example for us all.
Next week, our focus shifts to demonstrating manaaki (caring) in the playground. We're looking forward to seeing our children continue to grow, develop positive relationships with each other, and embody our school values.
