What's YOUR favourite sea creature? To celebrate Sea Week (1-9th March), Milford School will be running a Sea Creature drawing competition.
If you're not confident in your drawing skills, you might want to look at the Young Ocean Explorers' Learn to Draw series of videos which will take you through step-by-step drawings for lots of different kinds of sea creatures. There will be a prize for the winner of each category: Year 1/2; Year 3/4; Year 5/6.
Entry requirements:
Artworks MUST be the child's own artwork with NO SUPPORT from others except the viewing of how-to-draw books or videos.
Each artwork needs to be on A4 sized paper. They can be portrait or landscape.
The drawing must feature one or more sea creatures.
Draw in pencil or pen. Include shading and details. Do NOT add colour.
Do NOT sign your name on the front.
On the back of each drawing please write: Your full name, your classroom number, your year level.
You may enter more than one drawing if you wish.
Give your drawing(s) to your teacher to pass on to Mrs von Collas who will work with a team of judges to select the winning artworks.
Closing date: Friday 7th March, 3.30pm.
Winners will be announced in the following week's newsletter and prizes given at our next assembly.
Good luck!
