This week one of our reading group's books was 'You Can Make a Happy Cake' by Miriam Gaynor. The book gave us step by step instructions on how to make a 'Happy Cake'. It looked so mouth-wateringly delicious, it inspired Harry to go home and make a 'Happy Cake' himself. Room 19 children were very happy indeed when Harry brought the cake to share with the class!

This programme is led by yoga teacher, Madeline Waldegrave and wellbeing coach Jessica Vader. Our mission is to help children become more grounded and centered in this fast paced world.

In Room 13 we have been drawing monsters and labelling them using adjectives.

The students of Room 4 have been working on biographies over the last few weeks, learning all about famous people and what they have achieved during their lives. They have a wonderful display up in their classroom which I'm sure they would love to share with their parents. Great job!

My name is Alayna and I am in Year 4. I love gymnastics! Recently I took part in my first competition, and came 2nd overall and got a big silver medal.

They won their grade this season. A huge thank you must go to Sian Moloney, a Year 10 student at Westlake Girls High School for coaching the team this year.

A huge congratulations to all our student's who worked hard on their Quiz, with fantastic results!

A few year 5 student have been having a great time doing a science experiment on food decomposition! They are testing the effects of different variables such as pH factor and temperature on the rate of decomposition. We encourage you to ask them to share their findings with you at home.

On Monday, the Hive were lucky enough to have a visit from Zane Kelsall, who came in to show the children how to make bread. Below are some stories written by the students, about their experience.

In Week 8 of this term, we will be celebrating all things Literacy. Throughout the week, there will be various activities the children will be able to take part in, including visits from guest authors.
