When I am not at school I enjoy hanging out with my family and I love building and exploring nature with my two sons. In my teaching I really take the time to get to know my children to help them grow and learn. I love teaching creativity, coding/robotics and exploring children's curiosities.

In my teaching, I love to foster creativity and imagination. I spend time getting to know my students and their learning styles, likes, dislikes and whanau. In my spare time I love watching and reading crime novels and shows. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Oh my gosh! I am passionate about the arts and culture. I love to teach literacy, unpicking the text and playing with words. I believe anyone can sing, draw or paint and so everyone should have the opportunity to do so. I seek to help children believe in themselves and their own potential. When I have spare time I love to work in my garden, walk my dog - Ragtime Willie and read biographies early in the morning.

Melanie Kesry - Room 3 and Room 1 - Part Time teacher 

Supportive, adaptable and a good listener.

I love spending time with all our children in Kowhai and learning alongside them. I love using technology to help us with our learning. When I’m free I love walking with my gorgeous spoodle around the hills and beaches and I am always on the sideline at sports matches with my 14 year old twins. Travel is important to me as most of my family and friends are scattered around the world.

I am passionate about instilling a love of learning and self belief in my student's. Forming meaningful relationships with them is very important to me. I enjoy teaching art, history and writing.

I love coming to school everyday to help kids discover new things and enjoy their learning. Outside of school I like to play music, bake, and I'm (slowly) learning Te Reo Maori.
