Our learning during syndicate hui and circle time term 4

In Term Three, Rooms 2, 3 and 4 each had a chance to lead a whole school assembly about one of the TIKA values. It was great to have another opportunity to speak and perform in front of an audience and it was also helpful to share more information about Teamwork, Kindness and Ako with the rest of the school.

During our Kōwhai hui and class circle times, we have had a focus on using appropriate language. This behaviour was identified as an area that needed explicit teaching for our Kōwhai students in particular. As part of this teaching, we have listened to stories, discussed the impact of inappropriate language on others and have done role plays.
