Covid 19 restrictions lifted

Belinda Campbell —

The remaining COVID-19 public health requirements - 7-days mandatory isolation and face masks for visitors to health and disability care facilities - have been removed!

While fluctuations from week to week are expected, overall COVID case rates, wastewater levels and hospitalisations have been trending downwards since the beginning of June and over the past month reported cases have hit their lowest since February 2022.

Isolation and mask wearing is still recommended, and we can all still do our part to keep ourselves and others safe by keeping up all the healthy habits we know:

Stay home if you’re sick

Wear a mask in closed, crowded and confined spaces

Stay up to date with your vaccinations

Improve ventilation

Practice good hygiene
