Matariki 2023

Sarah Macintosh —

Matariki falls in the Term 2 school holidays this year, so at MNS, we will be having our Matariki Day on Friday 30 June.

Our day will involve our students having a day of Māori based activities, such as rākau, poi, Māori art, taonga pūoro (instruments), Ki o Rahi (sports game) etc.

We will also be having our hāngī, and you will be receiving information shortly on ways you can help for that as we can't do it without our parent help! You will also receive information on how you can purchase your hāngī.

The day will finish with our students performing kapa haka, leading into pick up of hāngī for those who have bought them.

It's going to be an awesome day and a perfect way to finish the term.
