Teacher's Professional Learning Monday 24th April

We kick started our day learning about the new refresh of the New Zealand Curriculum, seeing how it integrates with Mātauranga Māori and key ideas. Miramar Christian School joined us - it was really nice to have the opportunity to meet them. We also had Ray Ahipene-Mercer join us as our local iwi representative. 

We had 4 representatives from the Ministry of Education come and speak to us about 'Understanding Behaviour Responding Safely (UBRS). This is a programme that is done in most schools in Aotearoa and it was good to start this learning. 

Our maths team led the afternoon and we had a great session in our syndicates.

It was a full day of learning and information for our teachers and teacher aides. Thank you to our school community for your support.
