Kowhai are participating in 3 sports at ASB

Kia Ora Koutou,We have organised for the Year 3 & 4 Children to visit ASB Sports Centre this term as a part of their P.E and Sports learning. The children will be participating in gymnastics, basketball and floorball. We will be going three mornings on the following dates:

• Tuesday 8th May
  
• Tuesday 22nd May
  
• Tuesday 12th June
  

You are welcome to join us, as each class would like two additional adults to accompany them. The coach and teacher will lead / support the practical session, with the parents taking photographs and offering general support. Approximate timeline for the morning

• 9.00 Parent Helpers meet in your child’s class
  
• 9:00 Roll call and organisation
  
• 9.10 Bus leaves for ASB Sports Centre (72, Kemp St)
  
• 9.30 - 10.15 First sports coaching session for children
  
• 10.20-11.05 Second sports coaching session for children
  
• 11.05 Bus takes the children back to school All children return to school after the sports sessions in the bus.
  

We are fortunate that sports centre are providing free buses for our children to travel to and from the sports centre. The total cost for this outing will be $9 per child, this is only $1.50 per lesson. Parent helpers are welcome to meet us at ASB Sports Centre at 9.25am. 

All Children Must:

• Wear suitable clothing and shoes for sports activities (no jandals)
  
• Have a big breakfast
  
•  Bring a water bottle and one named piece of food for morning tea (preferably a piece of fruit or cereal bar)
  

We have had our first ASB visit and the children loved it!
