Term 3 was a full term of learning (for both students and teachers!)

* We began our BSLA Structured Literacy journey, which has been amazing and we are enjoying seeing the progress made by students. 

This took up a lot of our learning time each day!

* We really enjoyed having parents come into the classroom so students could share their learning in our conferences.

* Many students took part in the Readathon. We had a fun celebration on the last day of 'Readathon Week' with a headband parade. It was awesome to see all the great book themed head bands.

* Māori Language Week was in Term 3 and we took part in a wide range of Māori themed activities and did a big push on the use of te reo.

* We began the journey of the Gingerbread People as they travelled around New Zealand. We got to 4 cities before BSLA took over our lives! It was very exciting though, to see where the Gingerbread People were going and what they did there.
