Book Character Day

This was a hit! So many amazing characters from books, films, or just a fun chance to come dressed as something imaginary! It was so fantastic to see so many of the children dressed up and having fun. And the MNS staff….those costumes were amazing! With your help, we raised almost $300. Thank you, MNS! A very big thank you (as always!) to fabulous New World Miramar, who generously provided the ice blocks for our children to enjoy at the end of the day.

“Red Carpet” Discos – Friday 25 November 2022 - MNS Hall

*Junior disco (years 0-3) – 5.30pm until 6.15pm 

 *Senior disco (years 4-6) – 6.45pm until 8pm

A detailed “disco comms” has gone out to all families via email this week – so have a read through – all information is in there. We are all exited to DANCE! Three important things worth highlighting:

· Tickets are $5 each (except year 6 students who go free) and available for sale via Kindo. You’ll also need to fill in the online permission form on kindo for your child/ren (including for year 6 students). There are no physical tickets, your child’s name will be checked off at the door.

· Your child must be collected from the school hall strictly at their disco end time – children will not be allowed to leave the hall alone, even to walk up/down pathways to the roads.

· We need volunteers to make these discos happen! There is a list of things we need help with in the email sent out, so PLEASE put your hand up to help if you’re in a position to. We can’t go ahead without you! Please email homeandschool@mns.school.nz

We also have another couple of fun end-of-year events coming up – which will be held towards the end of term. Watch out for information on:

• Our Christmas hamper raffle; and
• Our Family “Picnic in the Park” (well, the MNS school field, anyway!)

MNS Community Facebook Page

A reminder about our MNS Community Facebook page. If you search for “MNS Community” under groups, we will pop up. It isn’t the official MNS Facebook page, but a page used to communicate MNS events and fundraisers, for you to seek information, to locate lost items when they go missing (!) and generally to keep communication channels open. So jump on and become a member!
