What a busy term it’s been so far, MNS?! And so much many more good things to come – read on below….!
Midwinter “Glow” Discos – thank you!
A huge THANK YOU to all of you who came, helped and boogied the night away at our junior and senior discos – we cannot do these events without your help, so we are very appreciative. So amazing to see all the children “glowing”, and so many happy faces. We raised an incredible $1,486 for MNS, a wonderful effort. A very special thank you to one of our incredible parents, Bobby at Dynamic Electrical – who so very generously provided us with all the lighting, as well as the DJ. And to the fabulous New World Miramar, who supplied us with our stash of delicious ice blocks and chips!
Matariki Hangi – Friday 30 June 2023 (last day of term)
Hopefully you will have seen the email comms that came out last week. This year, MNS will be having our Matariki activities during school time on Friday 30th June, and the day will finish with the lifting of our traditionally-cooked hangi, which will be available to collect at school from 3.30pm on Friday.
Ordering:
Please make sure you get in quick as the last two years we have sold out! Meat hangi are $15 and vegetarian $12. We also have gluten-free and dairy-free options available.

We still need help! A huge thank you to those who have already volunteered – we need more of you!

Donations/assistance:
Things are a little tougher for businesses this year than in the past. We do have some wonderful donors helping us out, but if you (or your business) would like to help us out with a donation, we would be SO appreciative. Please contact us on homeandschool@mns.school.nz if you think you can assist.
Inspire Photography – Saturday 12 August 2023 - save the date!
After the success of last year, we’ve had many requests to repeat…so we are doing it again! Inspire Photography will be coming to Miramar North School to photograph families on Saturday 12 August 2023.
Not only do Inspire Photography capture utterly gorgeous photos, 100% of the $20 sitting fee and 10% of all sales will be donated back to MNS. Such a win-win scenario!

Quick details:
· Inspire Photography is an award-winning, Wellington-based professional photography studio who specialise in portrait photography.
· They will be offering family portrait mini sessions 15 minutes in length, on our very own MNS grounds. Portraits will be taken outdoors (weather-permitting).
· They offer: a totally relaxed and unique style of photography; a friendly and easy-going photographer; and fun, games and general silliness to get even the shyest children smiling.
· You can choose family portraits, siblings and/or individual portraits. Note that variations may depend on number of family members!
