Robotics and Engineering

Matt McCallum —

Tamariki are enjoying our new technology option. Robotics and Engineering is a specialist subject that will incorporate the key elements of designing, planning, building, construction, coding, and project management. Students are using Lego Robotics equipment (Lego Spike Prime) to create innovative solutions to proposed problems. They will also use coding and digital design technologies to solve ‘real world problems’, such as making resources using 3D printers and CAD design technology that will make every day tasks easier. These designs may require both virtual and physical prototyping, so the workshop technology area will also be utilised to allow students to create resources required for some of their identified ‘real world problems’.
