Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L)

PB4L Team —

All students have worked extremely hard throughout the term displaying our school values. Many have already received values bands and badges. In acknowledging everyone's efforts in receiving yellow PB4L tickets, we had our first whole school PB4L reward day. We were meant to have a water tabloids sports event, but we celebrated with movies, indoor games, technology, and treats due to the weather.

We are a PB4L school, and this is about creating an environment where positive things happen and students feel safe and nurtured. Our kura environment allows learning to thrive and flourish, with students rewarded for displaying our five values - Eke Kairangi/Excellence, Manawaroa/Resilience, Manawarahi/Commitment, Auahatanga/Creativity and Mana.

Every morning a ‘Pre-correct’ is delivered to all classrooms to encourage targeted positive behaviour based on what is happening at school and what needs to improve. These are discussed as a class and displayed in our learning areas.
