Tirohanga's Evolocity team has been progressing well over the past five months. We weren't sure when we started this back in April whether or not we would get to this stage, but perseverance, hard work, and a lot of commitment from both students and some of their wonderful families have helped us get to the stage where we now have a kart that we are proud of.

The regional competition will be held at KartSport Manawatu in October which is the qualifying event for the national championships in December. The journey has been a long and rewarding one and we now have expert designers, electricians, engineers, mechanics, welders, coders, and data analysts in our team. The experience for the students has been amazing and many have expressed interest in pursuing engineering as a possible future career option.

We look forward to the upcoming scrutineers visit on 6 September and will then focus on final preparations for the regional competition in October.
