LIBRARY NEWS

Maia Bennett —

See below for news and updates happening in the library.

Kia ora,

We were very lucky to receive an archive of old hunting magazines and a stand to display them on from Daniel King’s whānau. This week we have been busy processing them and putting them on display and they have been eagerly received by the keen hunters in our student community.

We have also had a display of the latest additions to our manga collection, which is another super popular section of the library. We will be changing up the display to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori next week!

Student librarians recommend…

Zoe Waddington recommends the Children of blood and bone by Tomi Adeyemi.

Children of blood and bone is a novel based on a world which uses magik – a powerful force which changes its attributes based on which tribe you’re from. Our main character Zélie Adebola is from the Ikú Clan - the clan of death - and is faced with many challenges as she tries to save a world that seems determined to hate her very existence.
