SCHOOL CAMP
A few words and snaps from Andrew Sloan and his year 8's camp to Berwick last week.
Hello All,
Our class camp to Berwick last week was a fantastic experience. I commend and thank all of the students for their efforts and enthusiasm towards every challenge and opportunity that was put before them at camp. It was a fantastic week which was thoroughly enjoyable.
A huge thanks must also go to the crew of parent helpers who worked tirelessly during the time at camp. I understand that this is a big undertaking and without the support of helpers, as well as the preparation support from home, the camp would not have run as smoothly as it did.
This week at school we are reflecting on some of the experiences from camp and all of the learning and memories this has created. Check out some of the highlights here.
Once again thank you for the support in sending your son/daughter child along prepared and ready for learning, challenges and fun!

At Berwick camp, our class did the Assault Course ( Mud Run ) Confidence Course, Western Hills, at Western Hills we did this really high but fun Zipline.
On the camp you needed communication, determination to achieve excellence. On one of the days on camp, we did a nightline in the forest as well as a night solo. We also had to climb a massive wall with only our classmates so you had to be as helpful as possible to achieve greatness.
At the beginning of the camp we met a strange man named Evan who said he wasn’t a joking guy. The second night we were there we had to get into three teams and navigate around the camp to look for people who were pretending to be lost and we were being search and rescue. Evan had an ingenious idea to put the high ropes in the trees. The students had a kaleidoscope of personality but after the mud run it was mostly brown. The air in the sauna was filled with laughter when we played chinese whispers. There was a lot of outstanding perseverance and tenacity when we tried to get off the wall. A lot of kids were unphased by the mud run but there was also some resilience. We had valuable and quality time at Camp Berwick.
P.s. we are yet to check the x-rays
