STUDENT SHOWCASE
A chance to showcase some examples of the outstanding work our students have done over Term 1.
CREATIVE WRITING
Don’t Move..
I stand there, ready to attack. I stand there, ready for dinner. I stand there, ready to take a life. Twigs cracked between my oversized paws. Leaves stroked my face without care. The buffalo looked much the same as a statue. There was no way I could let it run free now. Just one more step closer and the catch was mine. It was practically in my arms already. My work was nearly over. I just had one thing left to do. With a blink of an eye, I raced out of the trees, over the stream, and there I had it. I had committed yet another crime. But that is what I do. That is what I do to survive.

'SHIELDS OF DESTINY'
This term in Year 10 Health, students created a personal coat of arms/shield. Their creations were symbolic to them to represent their journey in life so far, who they are and what things have and will continue to shape them into the person they are today or are going to be. These photos are from Miss McCone's 10IS Health class. The students put a great deal of reflective thought and time into creating their shield.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES
The Level 2 Physical Education classes have been teaching junior students the overhead serve by utilising motor learning skills. This is linked to an Achievement Standard requiring students to demonstrate understanding of how and why biophysical principles relate to the learning of physical skills.
