YEAR 10 DRAMA PERFORMANCE

Year 10 Drama students have been very busy preparing a small production of mature selected comic scenes from two New Zealand Playwrights Tom Sainsbury and Jo Randerson. Goodnight the End by Jo Randerson ultimately questions what is important in life while navigating simple questions of “who ate all the hash browns?” and “why is there never enough milo?”.

Arina and Kirsty” is a scene that explores the more extreme side of an obsessed fan getting to meet her all-time favourite pop star thanks to winning a meet and greet through a radio station competition.

Students have been in charge of all production decisions off stage making costume, designing and creating makeup looks, preparing set pieces and props as well as learning some lighting design. They have been incredibly brave and determined. A special thank you goes to Kathryn Liggins for her excellent support in helping make costumes.

Their performance will be 6.30pm Wednesday 22 November in the MAC Theatre. Entry is $5 at the door. This style of comedy is mature therefore it is best suited for Year 10 students upwards.
