Students, parents and friends of MAC,

We would love your help running a pop-up book sale in conjunction with Wanaka Rotary.

Proceeds from the book sale will be going directly to support our uniform assistance fund in preparation for the roll out of the new uniform in Term 2 next year.

The book sale will be held from 2-7 January in the Armstrong room at the Lake Wanaka Centre.

We are looking for helpers to set up, take sales, and then pack up after the event. If you are in town over this period and can spare a few hours, we would love to hear from you.Please email Shona at browns@mtaspiring.school.nz or talk to your whanau teacher.

BORROWED DEVICES

If you have borrowed a Chromebook and Charger from the MAC IT department (during lockdown or otherwise), please ensure you return it and any accessories before the end of term.

VIOLIN LESSONS

Violin lessons are available - funded through the college. One place available now. Violins available for hire - some at no cost, others are $80 to hire for the year.

LOVE BOOKS?  We are looking for volunteers to run a pop-up book sale from 2-7 January 2021.

NCEA EXAMS

Any students who have not yet received their exam admission slips should pick them up from Ms Ashton in her office.

EXAMS AND AREA CLOSURES 

Exams run from Monday 16 November through to Tuesday 8 December. Morning exams run from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and afternoon exams run from 2.00 to 5.00 pm. The exams will be held in the new prefabs beside the old swimming pool and in Rooms 20-24 which back onto the playing fields near the college hostel. It is very important that there is no public access to these areas at the dates and times stated so that our students get the best opportunity possible to complete their exams uninterrupted. If you have children that are used to walking through the college grounds from Wanaka Primary School, it is very important that they walk around the outside of the tennis courts to the east and do not cut down through our exam classrooms. There will be warning signs and barriers up to stop thoroughfare. Many thanks for your awareness - our students will thank you.

CURRENT UNIFORM

We have some stock available in a limited range of sizes that will be available at the "old" Swimming Pool alongside the gymnasium between 3.00 - 4.00pm on Thursdays from next week. First in, first served at discounted prices.

CANTEEN END OF TERM : You must ORDER YOUR MORNING TEA AND LUNCH IF YOU WANT CHOICE. Limited extra quantities will be made until the end of term. This does NOT include iceblocks and drinks - there is no need to order these.
