LEAVING FORMS
YEAR 13 STUDENTS ENDING SCHOOL
A link to a leavers’ google form will be shared with all Year 13 students early next week. This needs to be completed by all Year 13 students prior to going on study leave.
YEAR 11 AND 12 STUDENTS ENDING SCHOOL
Please email office@mtaspiring.school.nz and let us know if you will not be returning next year. A link to a leavers’ google form will then be shared with you. This needs to be completed prior to going on study leave.
STUDENTS WHO ARE LEAVING THE COLLEGE TO TRANSITION TO ANOTHER SCHOOL
Please email office@mtaspiring.school.nz and let us know that your child will not be returning to the college next year. A paper leavers form will then be given to you child (and emailed home) and this needs to be completed before your child leaves the college this term.
HPV VACCINE REMINDER
A reminder to all parents, the second dose of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine will be given to the year 8 students on 16 October 2023. If a student is away that day, catch-up clinics will be offered at school at a later date. Please see the attached letter from Public Health Nurse Pip McLean on behalf of Te Whatu Ora.
LEAVE REQUEST FOR STUDENTS
A reminder that if parents are wanting to take students out of school, you will need to apply for leave well in advance using the 'Application for Leave Form' located on our website.

UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR YEAR 13 STUDENTS
- MoneyHub has published a guide to hundreds of scholarships for any student planning to start university in 2024: https://www.moneyhub.co.nz/scholarships-nz.html
- The comprehensive list includes scholarships offered by every university as well as those specifically available to local students.
- A list of privately-funded, Māori, Pacific and international university scholarships completes the list.
- Applications close throughout the year, with tens of millions of dollars available.

CALLING ALL LOCAL ENROLMENTS FOR 2024
If you have a child currently enrolled at any of the local primary schools who will be joining Mount Aspiring College in 2024, please let us know as soon as possible by submitting an online enrolment form using the following link: https://portal.mtaspiring.school.nz/index.php/enrolment

COLLEGE FUNDRAISER
An adventure town deserves an adventure playground at school.
Quality, well designed playgrounds mean students who are physically and mentally healthier, with minds prepared for learning.
Help 'Parents and Friends of MAC' raise funds for a new adventure playground for students. If every student contributed $67, there could be a new adventure playground available next year! We know that’s not possible for all, so we’ll be fundraising and applying for grants. Please help if you can - either by visiting our "Givealittle" page https://givealittle.co.nz/org/mount-aspiring-college, or parents of the school - please select the link below which will take you directly to the myKindo site. All payments generate an automatic receipt.

If route stops or times are updated these will be reflected here, but we will always try to notify you if we are aware that any changes have been made. Ministry numbers have recently been updated (see below).

FREE HEALTH ADVICE
Public health nurse Pip McLean runs a clinic in the First Aid room every Monday lunchtime. No appointment is necessary - just drop into the First Aid room at the start of lunch.

We are required to have your correct physical address on file. If you have moved recently, or are about to do so, please email office@mtaspiring.school.nz to supply the updated information.
