MANA POUNAMU AWARDS
Congratulations to Flynn Rosie and Kiara Searing for both receiving a Mana Pounamu award in Dunedin on Friday the 1st of November.
The awards ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate the achievement of rakatahi Maori in secondary schools across Otago.
Flynn received the Tuakana award and was recognised for his achievements and dedication in Maori culture, Maori language, sports and music at Mount Aspiring College.
Kiara received the Teina award and was recognised for her achievements and dedication in Maori culture and language at Mount Aspiring College.
Thank you to the students of the MAC Kapa Haka group and Dean Sheppard for supporting Flynn and Kiara at the awards.
