LIBRARY

Librarian —

New signage has been created for the library's non-fiction area.

Kia ora

This week we have been lucky to have Alex, one of our Assistant Librarians, create signage for our non-fiction area. The dewey decimal system can be tricky to decipher, so we now have labels that list what is contained within the number bracket on the shelf ie 0-100 etc. We want pupils to utilise the non-fiction of the library, and will be looking to add more high-interest books to our collection soon.

Hamish, Yr 8, has written a book recommendation about ‘Eragon,’ the first book in the fantasy series by Christopher Paolini:

‘Eragon’ is an awesome book about a boy in the medieval times who finds a dragon egg! But the evil King Galbatorix has sent out some deadly assassins to win Eragon’s allegiance at any cost. Eragon must go on a quest to kill the King and he befriends Elves, Dwarves and other Beings. I highly recommend this book.

Please remember, our MAC eBook and eAudiobook collection is available to all our students and staff using their MAC email address. Go to maclic.eplatform.co, or access through the link on our library homepage, library.mtaspiring.school.nz, or download and install the Wheelers ePlatform app from your usual app provider, select Mount Aspiring College Library, and then sign in using your MAC email address.

Happy reading!
