A message from the Presiding Member of the School Board Niamh Shaw.

Kia ora, hi all

The Board is meeting next week on Tuesday 14 May at 6pm. As a parent/ caregiver, or even simply an interested member of our community, you are most welcome to attend. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice of your intention to attend and email Board Secretary Jo-Anne Cooper: boardsecretary@mtaspiring.school.nz.

The full agenda will be available on the Board webpage from Monday. Some of the agenda items include:

1. We’re looking forward to hearing from the Student Rep on the Board, Zoe Laws, who will present and speak about the findings of the Student Voice survey she planned and ran last month.

2. We will also welcome one of the kura’s kapa haka tutors, Candace Carroll, to speak about te ao Maori and tikanga powhiri | Māori formal event protocol.

3. The Governance Manual was updated over the school holidays and will be available on our website once the Board formally adopts it at the meeting.
