MAC FORMAL 2023

A great night was enjoyed by almost 300 senior students and staff at the Lake Wānaka Centre on Saturday night. Themed 'Santorini', students were surrounded by blue, white, and bright Greek island street scenes. A connection with the Mamma Mia movie made in this location was obvious as awards were presented to an ABBA songlist. Following dinner, musician Jody Direen inspired many to dance the night away. We are very grateful to the local businesses who supported the night. We expect to have photos in next week's newsletter.

2023 Arts Committee is holding a MAC Variety Show!

Whether it's singing, playing an instrument, dancing or anything in your area of talent that you wish to share with the school, then sign up for the MAC Variety Show. You can go solo or present in a group.

Sign-ups close on Wednesday 2 August - please use these forms: Year 7/8 sign-up or Year 9/10 and Senior sign-up

There will be an amazing selection of prizes up for grabs, for winning acts and spot prizes in each section. We would love to see everyone get involved and give it a go!

When? Wednesday 16 August at lunchtime and period 5.

Where?  Both shows will be in the School Gym

MACMT

MACMT (musical theatre club) is opening up to new members on Tuesday afternoons. All age groups and abilities are welcome. Come and give it a go if you like singing, dancing or acting. No experience required!

MAGIC The Gathering Club, Friday lunchtimes, Soc Sci 4 - between the playground and the field. Bring your best commander decks!
