VOLLEYBALL

Two weeks ago the MAC Year 10 Girls Volleyball team travelled to Dunedin to compete against other Otago schools in the Otago junior volleyball champs. The team did incredibly well, only losing one pool game and winning all the other games during the two day tournament including the final despite having no subs. Congratulations to Kiara Bercelli, Samara Goodall, Eliza Hardaker, Amelia Holmes, Olivia Jones and Jamie Kerr for your amazing team effort and a big thank you to coach Jason Dickson and manager Georgie Roberts for the time and effort you put into the team.

The MAC Year 10 volleyball team went down to Dunedin to play in the Otago Secondary Schools competition. Coming eleventh last year and having no subs we had no idea how we were going to match with the competition. But with the help of our coach and supporters we started the tournament off beating Columba A. This gave us great confidence to go into the next game and we came out of our pool on top. We won both our next two games which put us into the semi finals against Otago Girls 10A. We were nervous but we knew if we worked well together we could come out on top and we did! When the finals began we tried to start with lots of hyped energy and I believe this really helped. The end score of the final was 2-0 and I know for a fact that all the girls were super stoked. It was an amazing adventure and we are all super happy with how we went.

JUNIOR TOUCH

MAC junior touch team had a great experience in Dunedin last Thursday winning three of the four games played. We learnt a lot on the trip and improved each game. We are looking forward to returning next year and doing even better.
