WHY SCHOOL IS COOL

Some other awesome things that have been happening in and around the MAC community....

BERZELIUS

We are Berzelius, a Year 13 enterprise group and we have a passion for the environment!
We have made it our mission to introduce our bags into the market to reduce the use of single use plastic bags in homes while offering a few other innovative uses.

Our bags are made out of reusable, sturdy and thick silicone. Berzelius bags offer a substitute for ziplock bags plus a bunch of other great functions!

They are leak-proof, ovenproof, microwavable, and are dishwasher friendly. We use 100% pure platinum food-grade reusable silicone which is non-toxic, durable, environmentally friendly, dishwasher, microwave and boiling water safe.

Not only will they keep food fresher for longer with an airtight seal, Berzelius bags make meal preparation and food storage super easy. You can store away your meats and fish in coded bags in your freezer or heat up leftovers in the microwave with ease. Unlike plastic wrap or plastic bags, the airtight seal on the silicone bags can help preserve the freshness of you food for longer.

We are selling a set of three for only $30!

You can find our order form in the staff room by the whiteboard/noticeboard where we have also placed a sample.

Alternatively, head along to our Facebook page here

Many thanks

Team Berzelius

MUSIC MANIA

Ex-MAC student Connor Moore came and showcased her talent to a group of students in the music suite last Friday.

Connor finished her Bachelor of commercial music last year at Massey and is writing, performing and recording in Wellington this year. She was in Wanaka to do an electronic set of her music at Rhyme and Reason with fellow Wellington musician Lotu.

Connor was/is full of praise for Mat Doyle and the MAC music department, who have been so instrumental in her journey and encouraged the students to seize the awesome learning opportunity he is providing them.

To say Connor is talented would be a huge understatement - Clare, we're not sure who she gets her talent from...you or Nigel??

FLYING FRENCHY FROM THE FALKLANDS

Marilou, our French girl from the Falklands, is flying big birds now! Awesome to know that it all started here at MAC.
