Our Year 8 students will be holding a sustainable night market on Tuesday 1 December, from 4.30 - 6.30 pm Save the date!

For Term 4, we have been focusing on consumers and producers and their subsequent rights. This will culminate in students creating their own businesses and products or experiences that will be available to you at this Night Market. There is an emphasis that all products and experiences will be created with sustainability in mind. Half the proceeds from the evening will go to a local charity - to be decided by the students. Last year we raised over $2000 for Food For Love!

Among Us 

Keychains being sold for $3 at 4:30 pm on Tuesday 1 December at our market day. Come and buy one if you want an accessory for your bag, rearview mirror, or any other purpose you want. Come and get one if you're interested!

FINE DESIGNS

We are Fine Designs and we make friendship bracelets.

They are made from quality thread and we have heaps of different designs. They are great for christmas gifts and fun to give to friends. We also have sets for friend groups, matching sets and movie sets. Look out for our stall at the Year 8 market day!

CAR WASH

'Come to the Year 8 trade day at 4.30 pm on the  Tuesday 1 December for a $12 pressure wash car wash and wax. All of our equipment is reused so we will have a very low impact on the planet. Also, 55% of our profits go to charity so you will be supporting a local charity with your purchase as well.”

BATH BUNDLES 
We are the BATH BUNDLES team for the Year 8 market day, here is a little bit about us.....We will be selling bath bundles that include a biodegradable bag of dried flowers and essential oil bath salts, relaxing orange, peppermint and lavender bath bombs and exfoliating glow body scrub!
All of these items will be included in your bundle, there will be 1 bag of the bath salts, 1 jar of the glow body scrub and you will get to choose 3 bath bombs, plus a free chocolate with each bundle!
We will be selling our bundles for $12 each on the Tuesday 1 December! Our bundles are the perfect Christmas gifts! Hope to see you at our stall!

POTTED CHRISTMAS TREES

Get yourself sorted for Christmas! Buy a sustainable Christmas tree that lives!

We are Sam and Axel and we are selling some baby Christmas trees at the year 8 market day on Tuesday 1 December. We have them in pots and they are ranging from $15 to $30. Will last a lifetime (unless you don't look after them), they range from 40cm to 150cm. Real cool. Box add-ons for $5 made from 100% recycled pallets and screws.

ALPINE SUMMER CORDIAL

Hi Wanaka, we are selling Alpine Summer Cordial at the year 8 Christmas Night Market on 1st of December 4.30 to 6.30pm at the college.

This delicious beverage is made from ElderFlower harvested from the Alpine mountains of Hawea, water collected from the spring of Lake Wanaka and delicious, fresh citrus fruit. For only $7 per 300mls and/or a cup for $2, you won’t find a better price. Our cordial is a perfect present for Christmas, so don’t hang about, come see us on the trade day to buy our Alpine Summer Cordial.

CHRISTMAS DECOR

Having trouble finding the right present for your relatives? We have just the thing for you. We are selling recycled products perfect to decorate your trees and give to your relatives.

We are selling all sorts of Christmas gifts and decorations. We have a variety from mini santa's to Christmas cards.

Please come on Tuesday 1 December and support our store.

Our store is all about Christmas, since Christmas is coming near we decided to make a store all Christmas related.

Pricing our products didn't take as long as I had thought. We had to think about what's fair and what will raise money for the charity. So we chose ones that took the most time and effort to make and made them the most expensive to the least amount of time and effort as the lowest expense.

Our products are Christmas themed, so we came up with a few ideas. We have mini santa Christmas tree decorations made out of toilet paper cones We painted and decorated to look like Santa, some beautifully decorated Christmas cards and recipe Christmas jars with delicious Christmas baking recipes, we also have Christmas jars with gluten free recipe options so no one misses out. 

HAPPY BAGS

"Dear Mount Aspiring Collage family,

My name is Mia Cohen and I am writing to inform you that the Mount Aspiring College Year 8’s will be holding an ECO-friendly sustainable night market on the 1st of December from 4.30 - 6.30 pm (with a soft close) in the Science Block. The entire year group has worked hard to be able to provide innovative products! Half of our proceeds will be going to a local charity.

Part of being an ECO-friendly enterprise means our advertising also needs to be environmentally friendly. So my team and I are asking you if you're happy to help advertise our market day in your newsletters and assemblies.

Our market day will be full of fun activities, quirky products, and more! So, come one come all! Parents/Caregivers - Siblings - Grandparents - etc.

As an example, we are The Happy Bags. The Happy Bags are reusable fruit / veggie produce bags made out of recycled and / or repurposed materials.
