GOLF
7 Year 7 and 8 students qualified and were invited to play the finals of the Central Intermediate Golf Tournament in Lawrence last week. It was a tough ask for one team having only 3 players, however, they made it work and all had an awesome time regardless. A big thanks to Sam Mason and Anna Rowley for transporting the students to Lawrence.
ORIENTEERING
Forty Year 7 and 8 MAC students participated in the Orienteering - Central Otago Primary School Championships at Jardine Park in Queenstown last Friday. Having been postponed the day before due to rain, the sun shone for those students who worked their way around a course finding checkpoints on the way. Paige Boomsma placed 6th and Jade Mclachlan 10th for the Girls Upper Clutha Year 7 and 8. Congratulations to all as it was a great day out! Thank you to Liz McHugh and Caroline Heathorn for volunteering to help on the day.
