Last Saturday night we had our Year 12 and 13 Formal, which was a great success for all involved.

It looked as though spring had arrived early for senior Mt Aspiring College students as they arrived for their annual formal on Saturday night. The event in the Lake Wanaka Centre was attended by almost 250 Year 12 and 13 students and partners. Themed ‘Blossom of the Night’, entering into the centre had students feeling they were transplanted to a Japanese cherry blossom garden. Four hours passed quickly with a served dinner, the taking of photos, awards and dancing. A great night that continued the successful tradition for the college, but was especially memorable this year when so many other ‘usuals’ have not been able to happen.

A big thank you to parents and businesses who supported the MAC formal this year and helped make it a great night for our senior students. Parent help is vital to the running of the night, whether you help with the setup, during the formal itself, or are part of the pack-down and pack-out operation. We very much appreciate your part of the event.
