ROTARY BOOK SALE

The Rotary Club's annual Book Sale is on next week from Friday 2 October to Sunday 4 October at the Lake Wanaka Centre.

The popular book sale has thousands of books for sale, sending profits back into the community. The Rotary Club are on the lookout for volunteers from MAC, so if you are available to help over the weekend with sales, and keeping the book displays tidy, please let Jo know on sic@mtaspiring.school.nz.


School Board of Trustee Mid Term Election 2020Nomination round


Our school will be undertaking Mid Term Elections for our Board of Trustees this year. This processwill start with the issuing of nomination papers to our caregiver community by Friday 25 thSeptember 2020.We have again employed CES to undertake the election process on our behalf. This year with legislative change, our nomination forms and full instruction on how to place your nomination into our own School’s Election website will be e-mailed to you by Friday 25 th September 2020. For those that do not have access to the internet, nomination papers will be available at the school office and those nomination papers should be returned to the school office. We will send those on to CES for processing.


Nominations close on Sunday 1 st November 2020 at 12 noon.

We look forward to your participation in this process.

NOTIFICATION OF BOARD MEETING

The next Board of Trustees meeting will be held on Tuesday 29 September at 6.00 pm. 

PRIZEGIVING AUDITIONS

Auditions for Prize Giving performances will be held early next term in the Music room. Senior Auditions will be held on Friday 16 October and Junior Auditions will be held on Friday 30 October. Please see Mr Doyle if you wish to book a slot for these.

NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

We are currently collating a list of sporting, cultural and academic national and international achievements and would welcome input from parents and students so that no-one is omitted. The criteria for these achievements are as follows:

National:

· New Zealand Representative (eg selected member of a NZ junior team).

· Achieved a first place at a National championship (must be the overall winner if part of a series).

· The equivalent of the above in a non-sporting environment

International:

· Students who have been selected to represent New Zealand and have competed at an international event.

The deadline for supplying this information is Friday 25 September.
