INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE CENTRE (ILC)

Rachel Warne —

See what our awesome bunch of ILC students have been up to!

This week, our international students took part in the ILC Doco or Mocko 48-Hour Film Project where they had to showcase Mount Aspiring College and the local Wanaka area.

Students were judged on creativity, narrative, cinematography and had to include the phrase "Haere mai ki te Wanaka".

The three groups consisted of 13 Reasons Why, The Gordon Lambsay's and The Kiwi's. All were strong contenders but unfortunately our three MAC judges and film experts, Rachel Warne, Andrew Miller and Dan Cullen, could only pick one winner. After much deliberation and discussion, the Oscar for ILC Best Film 2019 went to the Gordon Lambsay's consisting of Sven (Germany), Brit (Holland), Marina (Germany), Greta (Italy) and Andy (Israel).

A solid effort from all those involved including our wonderful ILC facilitators, Megan, Claire, Jude, and Jo.
