From the Principal

Alastair Sinton - Principal —

He mihi aroha ki a koutou,

I hope the transition to Level 3 has been a positive one for you all and you continue to make the most of the great weather while it lasts.

We are yet to receive any update on what moving to Level 2 will mean for school communities. There are meetings happening around the country between the government and education sector-related organisations which we hope will be positive and provide clarity for families, staff and students. I will keep you up to date should any relevant information become available.

The school office is closed for visitors but open to respond to emails and take phone calls from 8:30 AM to 12 noon, Monday to Friday. Please contact us during these hours if you need any support or advice in regards to school operations and distance learning.

Acting Deputy Principal Dave Cleland has asked me to pass on a message around credit entry for senior students. While assessment across the school continues, the submission of credits to student records will be delayed due to the challenges around having student work moderated while working remotely. Teachers are doing their best to get that information in the system but please be aware this will take longer than normal.

Thank you all for your feedback, patience and continued support. Keep supporting each other, enjoy your families and where possible, shop local.

Ngā mihi,

Alastair Sinton
Principal
