Message from Parent Support Group (PTA)

Ruth Underwood —

Next Meeting - Monday 11 June 2018

The Mount Maunganui College Parent Support Group (formally the PTA), meets approximately 10 times a year on the first Monday of every month in the staffroom at 7pm. Follow the PSG signs from the school reception / office area.

Golf Day Thanks

Thank you to the many people in the school community who supported and helped with the Community Golf Day.  A fabulous day!

What makes a great Community Golf Day?  A full field of players generously opening their pockets. A full sheet of very generous sponsors.  Three pro golfers willing to hit balls all day for cash.  A cow. A BBQ with staff and sausages.  Students happy to give up their last Friday of the holidays.  A pallet of big bottles.  A great PSG team.  An awesome venue.  Yummy food.  Tables of wonderful donated prizes. Lots of laughs....and $11,500 funds raised!

THANK YOU AWESOME COMMUNITY

About the Parent Support Group (PTA)

Our meetings are attended by the Principal and / or a staff representative and parents, whanau and caregivers are very welcome to come along and join those of us already part of the Parent Support Group (PTA).

We provide support at some school events and fundraise for projects that benefit the students of our college. The “covered outdoor area” and the “chilled and filtered water station” are the latest results of the Parent Support Group's fundraising.

This year we will be fundraising through our: Second Hand Uniform sale (January), our Annual Community Golf Tournament, The Entertainment Book and movie nights. These have all been very successful in the past and we always need help from the school community.

Every year we need new members to replace those that have moved on.  We look forward to meet those of you wishing to spend a bit of time helping out any way you can.
