Students Signing In / Out
In order that students correctly sign in and out of Mount Maunganui College they are required to hand a note in to the Student Receptionist before leaving for an appointment or on their arrival back to school following an appointment. This will mean that a student's attendance data will be correctly updated and, in the case of an emergency, the school is made aware of the student's absence. Thank you in advance.
Reporting a Student's Absence
Student absences longer than three days must be notified in writing to the Principal by emailing:
any other absences can be reported by telephoning 575 3096 ext 828 or emailing:
attendance@mmc.school.nz
It is important to remember the college’s requirement that students have a 90% justified attendance and 85% assessment completion record to graduate to the next level. Because of the need to ensure validity in assessments, it may not be possible to reschedule assessments that may be missed during a student's absence.

For a Year 13 student to graduate at the end of the year, student MUST meet conditions 1 and 2, and any two out of conditions 3, 4, and 5.
