29 May 2019 - As you may be aware the Post Primary Teachers Association has made the decision to take industrial action by striking on Wednesday 29 May. Mount Maunganui College will be closed for instruction on this day.

The recent announcement regarding the removal of NCEA fees will take effect immediately. Mount Maunganui College is working with the Ministry of Education to ensure this process is managed appropriately. NCEA fees for international students will remain.

We ask that parents support the school in communicating with their children the need to comply with road safety rules. We increasingly are being informed of some students who are cycling into oncoming traffic and numbers who are failing to wear helmets. Police have informed us they will be issuing infringement notices to those violating road rules.
