Enrolment Zones

Ground Control —

Why do we have an Enrolment Zone? School enrolment zones stop schools becoming overcrowded, and guarantee children living within any given school zone can attend their local school. Enrolment zones are determined by negotiation between the Boards of surrounding schools. See map above to view our enrolment zone.

Click here to view an interactive map showing enrolment zones for all schools in New Zealand.  Simply type in the name of the school you are looking for in the Search field to drill down & view their zoning.

What if we live outside the enrolment zone?

Christchurch enrolment zones have been somewhat more flexible over the past few years post-earthquake.  Several years on, and with the future of Redcliffs School finally determined this will no longer be the case for us.

Parents of children who wish to enrol at MPS who reside outside of our zone may complete an out of zone application form (PDF attached below) with priority given to siblings of current students.  The BoT advertises the number of spaces available for out of zone enrolments and applications are considered up to 4 times a year.

Contact the school if you wish to know more about the ballot application deadlines.
