Our Student Leaders for 2022

Carly Tarrant —

We have great pleasure in introducing our Student Leaders of 2022:

Justin Muirhead, Deputy Student Leader " I am very excited about this coming year and everything it will bring, both the challenges and achievements. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am for the opportunities this school has given me, like being able to play in the Jazz Band, and go on tour through the South Island. I am interested in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Digital Technologies. Once I am finished with school, I would like to go to the University of Canterbury. I am looking forward to working with all the amazing people at Mountainview High School, 2022 is going to be pretty awesome!"

Hope Lovely, Student Leader " If one should know anything about me, it should be how ecstatic I am to be one of Mountie's Head Students- how excited I am just to write this! Next year I'm likely to study Law at the University of Otago; a love of reading and writing increases this probability. I've always been one for setting big goals, and Mountainview has truly given me the skills, and faith (or "hope" as my friends might coyly interrupt), required to accomplish them!"

Sarah Duncan, Student Leader " It is a privilege to be one of the head students at Mountainview this year. I thoroughly enjoy school and all the different opportunities Mountainview has given me. I enjoy participating in different sports, and love partaking in the Arts here at Mountie such as different musicals and the Jazz Band. I am very excited to be part of the student leadership team at a school which has given me so much. "

Ameerah Ragab, Deputy Student Leader " In my years at Mountainview I have gotten the opportunity to be involved in a variety of things such as Whauna events, committees and the arts. I’m grateful for what Mountainview has offered me and I’m looking forward to my last year and can’t wait for the future that lies ahead. "
